Elderly woman, nearly 20 pets found dead during fire
SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - An elderly woman’s body was found at the scene of a house fire, alongside several cats and dogs. On August 30, at 5:44 a.m., the Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) responded to a fire emergency at a house on the 1400 block of East Kings Highway. The first firefighters were on scene by 5:49 a.m. and reported smoke and flames coming from the front door of the single-story house.

Fire burns home in Hyde Park neighborhood
SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A house caught fire on Blue Spruce Drive while the homeowners were away. On Aug. 29 at 8:36 a.m., the Shreveport Fire Department (SFD) responded to a fire emergency in the 9200 block of Blue Spruce Drive in the Hyde Park neighborhood. When they got there, firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the front of the house and fire on the back side of the house.
