    TWRA to restock lakes in Fountain City, Maryville for summer fishing

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — Just in time for summer, the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency has announced plans to restock channel catfish in five community fishing lakes in Tennessee, including in Fountain City and Maryville.

    The restocking will take place in late April at Greenbelt Lake in Maryville , Fountain City Lake in Knoxville , Cameron Brown Lake in Germantown, Cedar Hill Lake in Nashville and Dickert Pond in Chattanooga. The lakes will be stocked again in May and June, the TWRA said.

    There is a regulation of five catfish per day. Anglers are also able to take home limits of bluegill and redear (20 per day), black bass (one per day), crappie (30 per day), and trout (five per day). The TWRA states that there are no size limits.

    While the lakes are community fishing lakes, the TWRA said a fishing license is required for those ages 13 and older.
