    Motorcyclist dead, driver charged after crash on Wears Valley Road

    PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WATE) — A Sevierville man is facing charges after Pigeon Forge Police said he pulled in front of a motorcycle and caused a crash on Wears Valley Road Tuesday night.

    The Pigeon Forge Police Department released on Thursday that its officers responded to a crash on Wears Valley Road at the intersection of Lona Drive around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Around that time, police shared on Facebook that Wears Valley Road was blocked.

    Suspect arrested after Kingston hit-and-run that injured 12-year-old boy

    When they arrived, officers determined that a truck, driven by Dennis L. Grooms Jr., 48 of Sevierville, pulled out in front of a motorcycle causing the crash, the police department shared.

    The motorcyclist, Clark T. Franklin, 59, of Sevierville, died.

    Police said Grooms is facing charges of driving under the influence, implied consent, vehicular homicide, and failure to yield.

    if no alcohol involved then there should not be enemy charges it was just a accident nothing more the police are out of control
