KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The 2024 Tennessee football season is almost here, and with it comes new Neyland Stadium amenities for fans to enjoy as the ongoing renovation project enters its third year.

Earlier this month, the university and Pilot entered a 20-year sponsorship deal that will keep the name of the historic stadium unchanged. Fans will see Pilot branding on the grass of Shield-Watkins Field and other Pilot signage around the stadium.

The deal also marks the return of the iconic “Home of the Vols” along with Pilot’s logo on the east side of the stadium.

After beginning Wi-Fi installation last year , the system is now fully functional throughout the stadium.

Enhanced speakers will improve sound quality for fans seated below the overhang of the lower bowl. New televisions have also been installed throughout the stadium, including along the north and east concourse on Level 1 and the east and south concourse on Level 3.

Concessions have also been upgraded for the 2024 season. Some of the Vol Classics stands have been upgraded with new menu items. K-Town Dog Pound, purveyor of the beloved Smokey Dog, will offer new hot dogs with pimento cheese or buffalo chicken.

The new Checkboard Cheese concept will serve up various grilled cheese sandwiches while the new Pilot Fast Favorites offers a quick service market inside Gate 21. Other food offerings include The General’s Grill and Cookies and Coffee stands.

While the digital ticketing system remains in place, commemorative game tickets custom to each fan’s seating location will be available for purchase after each home game this season.

A university release said additional details on the commemorative tickets will be forthcoming. Tennessee football trading cards will also be available for purchase at the vending machine inside Gate 24 just outside of the NIL VolShop.

The statue of General Robert Neyland has been temporarily moved outside the Neyland-Thompson Sports Center while renovation work continues.

Neyland has already seen major changes since work began in 2022 including the all-new lower west sideline section , a north end zone video board and party deck space . Future upgrades include an expanded south concourse 1, a new Gate 4 entry plaza, and southeast elevators vertically connecting all concourses.

Renovations are expected to be completed in time for the 2026 football season.
