RUTLEDGE, Tenn. (WATE) — The man suspected of killing and dismembering two people in Bean Station in May has now been indicted, Grainger County District Attorney Jimmy Dunn confirmed.

Jon Atkins, 49, and Deven McDaniel, 32, were found dead at a property on Rocky Springs Road on May 25 . White was added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Most Wanted List on June 15 after he was charged.

He was captured at a Morristown home on July 10 following a search involving U.S. Marshals, TBI special agents, and local law enforcement. His bond was set at $5 million.

According to an affidavit, investigators believe believe White shot and killed McDaniel and Atkins on or about May 23. A bank receipt from White’s account was discovered, “near where the bodies were dismembered after their death,” the affidavit states.
