No injuries after crash involving occupied school bus on Chapman Highway

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — Fifteen schoolchildren were reportedly on board a school bus that was involved in a crash Thursday morning on Chapman Highway, according to the Knoxville Police Department.

No injuries were reported in the crash, KPD said in a post shared on X just before 8 a.m.

The crash occurred along Chapman Highway at Dick Ford Lane, which is in South Knoxville, just near E. Governor John Sevier Highway.

“Earlier this morning, KPD officers responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus on Chapman Hwy at Dick Ford Lane. No injuries were reported in the crash. 15 elementary-age students were on the bus at the time of the crash. A lane of Chapman Hwy is temporarily blocked.”
