    Knoxville Police search for teen suspect in shooting off of Asheville Highway

    KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department is searching for a 15-year-old in connection to the shooting that happened on Friday at the Kwik Pantry Food Mart off Asheville Highway.

    Knoxville Police announced on Tuesday that officers and detectives are looking for Kendall Ridgeway , 15. Ridgeway has multiple juvenile petitions stemming from the shooting, including attempted first-degree murder.

    Previously, KPD shared that one man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg by officers at the Kwik Pantry. The man was taken to UT Medical Center. At the time, KPD said investigators believed the shooting happened during some kind of conflict involving the victim and two male suspects.

    Anyone with information, or who knows where Ridgeway is, is asked to contact the East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers.
