KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help to identify a man who was found dead at a property on Walker Springs Road in August 2023.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a property in the 300 block of Walker Springs Road around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023, because of reports of a body near the wood line of the property. KCSO’s forensic services and investigators with the Knox County Regional Forensic Center also responded to the scene.

KCSO explained that because of the level of decomposition, it was not possible to immediately identify the person whose body was found. The body was taken to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center for further examination. There were no signs of foul play, and the victim did not have any apparent wounds.
