JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — The autopsy report for the East Tennessee judge, who was struck and killed on August 25 , has been released.

Okie Duane Slone, 61, was walking east on E Highway 25/70 towards Mountain Vista Trail around 1:20 a.m. when he was struck by a car. The autopsy report lists Slone’s cause of death as “multiple blunt trauma,” adding the circumstances of his death were consistent with a manner classification of “Accident.”

The Jefferson County Sheriff said Slone had a flat tire, which was why he was walking along the highway .

A toxicology report included in the report showed Slone had a blood alcohol concentration(BAC) of 0.256 and Amphetamine in his system. In Tennessee, the legal BAC limit is 0.08. Amphetamine is a central nervous system stimulant used in the treatment of narcolepsy, obesity and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

A narrative included in the autopsy report said there were no concerns for drug abuse or foul play in Slone’s death.

Slone was first elected to the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court in 1998 and co-founded his judicial district’s Drug Recovery Court in 2009. He was known for his work helping people overcome addiction. The Fourth Judicial Circuit has jurisdiction in Cocke, Grainger, Jefferson, and Sevier counties.
