    Heavy police presence expected at Morristown West High School for training exercise

    MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (WATE) — Law enforcement in Hamblen County will be at Morristown-Hamblen West High School for a joint training exercise on Friday, September 27.

    The Morristown Police Department is warning the public to not be alarmed by the heavy law enforcement presence at the school Friday morning. The training will begin at 7 a.m. and run through noon.

    White Pine Police: One person shot in road rage incident

    The school will not be in session on Friday, however, MPD is warning the public to be aware of delays around the area. Training signs, message boards and officers will be around the area to help with any traffic issues.

    Several law enforcement personnel from MPD, the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Office, and other response vehicles will be onsite for the duration of the training.
