UTK Chancellor Donde Plowman delivers 2024 Flagship address

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( WATE ) — Thursday morning, University of Tennessee , Knoxville, Chancellor Donde Plowman delivered her sixth annual Flagship address.

UTK shared prior to the address that Plowman would share her vision and goals for the 2024-25 academic year.

Plowman’s Flagship address comes amid the university’s athletic accomplishments including Vol baseball’s national championship title, the extension of athletics director Danny White’s contract, the addition of “talent fees” to football tickets, a branding deal with Pilot , a tuition increase for the 2024-25 school year, and the university receiving high rankings across multiple disciplines in the latest Best Colleges report from U.S. News.

Plowman was scheduled to speak at 11 a.m.
