KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Farragut sophomore quarterback Corbin Hobson helped lead the Admirals to their first win of the season and first win under new head coach Geoff Courtney.
Our Pella Player of the Week was 20-of-24 for 336 passing yards, including two touchdowns in the brawl with Bradley Central.
While Hobson’s numbers are impressive, leading the team to a win was the night’s main event, “It just felt like excitement, we haven’t won all season and I feel like we’ve been working since December to win and that was just our moment, I was really excited for us,” said Hobson. “I feel like Coach Courtney brought us in with a good game plan and I feel like we used our two good receivers in Robbie Jacobs and Landon Collins to get the ball to our playmakers.”
Friday Frenzy: Week 7 high school football highlights Getting the first win for their coach made the victory over Bradley Central a little more special.
“I came in my freshman year and he was always my coach like he always helped me through everything. and this year he’s become like a really good coach with me and him becoming my head coach and my offensive coordinator, I just feel like he can put trust in me and I can put trust in him and we’ll always go out and win,” said Hobson.

“He’s a good quarterback, he’s a great guy, he’s a great teammate and honestly he really makes me work. He really makes me work everyday at practice and I feel like he’s always a good guy to be next to,” Hobson said.
