VIDEO: Home a total loss after fire near the Parkway in Sevierville

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A home is a total loss and an investigation is underway after a structure fire on Tanager Street, which is near the Parkway in Sevierville.

The Sevierville Police Department shared that the Fire Department responded to the fire around 8 p.m. on October 9. Heavy fire and smoke could be seen coming from the house. The fire burned for several hours, finally being fully extinguished around 12:35 a.m. according to SPD.

Video from Andrus Photography shows the large response to the fire. SPD shared that crews from Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Sevier County Fire-Rescue assisted in extinguishing the fire. Sevier County Ambulance Service and Sevier County Electric System also responded.

The home’s occupants were outside when emergency personnel arrived and no injuries were reported. However, the home is a total loss. SPD added that the fire marshal is investigating.
