Variety confirmed today that Hubbard and Radke are both set to join the rest of their castmates in this summer’s share house when filming begins in Water Mill, NY this week, marking the former couple’s first season since ending their engagement last year.
The news comes less than a month after Summer House Season 8 finished airing. As the Bravo show’s most-watched season since it premiered in 2016, Season 8 honed in on Hubbard and Radke’s tumultuous relationship all leading up to their explosive breakup in the finale.
Bravoholics watched the then-couple duke it out over Radke’s career path (or lack thereof) and his desire for a softer, more supportive version of Hubbard, who shockingly accused him of breaking his sobriety in the early episodes of the season. When Bravo cameras caught up with the duo a few days after they left the Hamptons, Radke ultimately decided to call off their wedding, which was set to take place that November.
During the two-part reunion, Hubbard claimed that Radke called up production to stage their breakup, though he insisted that he was hoping to resolve their issues that day. Meanwhile, moderator Andy Cohen explained that no one in the cast can “decide what is shot on this show” since “production decides what is shot on this show,” noting that production wanted to “follow up and see that aftermath” of their “terrible” final weekend in the Hamptons.
This next season should be just as interesting, especially with Hubbard dating a new guy.
But Radke and Hubbard aren’t the only exes reentering the house. Summer House veteran Ciara Miller will have to face former fan favorite West Wilson this season. While they shared an adorable summer romance last year, Miller revealed that West called things off last December because of “show-related reasons.”
“Obviously this decision didn’t come without a tremendous amount of thought,” she wrote. “Ultimately, I just need to trust my gut. If I can’t put 100% of myself into filming, genuinely and authentically, it really doesn’t feel right doing it in a full-time capacity. The network, production, my cast, and especially all of you deserve that.”
Still, Olivera teased that she may be making future cameos.
“However I’m involved this summer, you can bet I’ll be rooting for another incredible season from my Summer House fam,” she said. “My goodness, Season 9 you guys!!! Best of luck and sending so much love.”
