WATERFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — First responders worked a unique case Saturday when a dog managed to get stuck inside a recliner.

Using their tools, Waterford firefighters helped Waterford-East Lyme Animal Control get the dog out of the motorized recliner couch and back to his family, happy to see him safe again.

“Judging by his expression, I don’t think he is sorry,” joked animal control.

Officials reported the dog is fine but the couch did suffer damage.
