WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) -- Home invasion and other charges have been filed against an Oakland County man accused of breaking into several homes across Metro Detroit.

The Waterford Police Department said 59-year old David Alan Hudson was arrested last Friday by a special operations unit after he allegedly broke into a home on Drake Road in Farmington.

A search of Hudson's Waterford Twp. home led to the discovery of firearms and other items that were stolen from homes in Waterford, Troy, Farmington, Milford, Keego Harbor and a number of other area communities, police said.

Officers also seized two handguns, some burglary tools and crack cocaine from the home.

Hudson is charged with Home Invasion - Second Degree, which is a 15-year felony, and Possession of Burglary Tools, a 10-year felony. Seven other counts filed against him include several counts of Felony Firearm, Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition, and Cocaine Possession.

Waterford Police said detectives are working with other law enforcement agencies to return the stolen goods to their owners.

    The investigation is ongoing.
