Lake County: Crowbar-Wielding Suspect Targets Jewel-Osco Employees
Zion, IL – Zion Police Department officers swiftly responded to a violent armed robbery at Jewel-Osco on 1400 21st St. last Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Kebron Dennis, allegedly homeless but residing in and around Zion, stormed into the store, allegedly stole liquor, and attacked employees with a crowbar when they attempted to stop him. Despite the employees’ brave efforts, Dennis managed to flee the scene before officers arrived within a minute of dispatch.
Closed Kenosha schools targeted for affordable housing
When Kenosha students left for summer vacation, it was the last time six of the district’s oldest buildings would be used as schools.
