Police seeking public’s help regarding fatal Metro Bus shooting in Des Moines on Monday, Aug. 26

The King County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public in its investigation of a shooting that occurred on a Metro bus in Des Moines on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024.

As we previously reported, a man was shot and killed Monday afternoon on a northbound Metro A Line bus, which was traveling on International Boulevard near South 216th Street.

Police said that about 40 passengers fled after the bus came to a stop, and the suspect is still at large.

Detectives are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was on the bus (#6237) during the incident.

Individuals with information are urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (206) 296-3311 to aid in the ongoing investigation.
