    Braatz inducted into WSCA Hall of Fame

    Waterloo softball coach Deb Braatz was inducted into the Wisconsin Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame this past weekend.

    Braatz started the softball program at Waterloo High School in 1987, and she is now entering her 36th year as the head softball coach for the Pirates.

    In addition to being a teacher in Waterloo for the past 40 years, Braatz has coached multiple varsity sports including volleyball, basketball, track and field, and softball.

    While coaching softball at Waterloo High School, she has compiled an overall record of 510-160. Her coaching record includes 12 conference championships, five regional championships, one sectional championship, and one state runner-up.

    She has coached in multiple WFSCA Softball All Stars Games, served as the Capital Conference South Representative, was selected as Eastern Suburban Conference Coach of the Year, and has also served on the WIAA Advisory Board.
