North Country Recipients for SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence

NOTH COUNTRY, N.Y. (WWTI) – Several faculty members from SUNY Canton, SUNY Potsdam, and JCC have been selected to receive the 2023-2024 State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence, according to SUNY’s website .

The Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence are System-level honors awards to acknowledge and provide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and to encourage the ongoing pursuit of excellence.

The awards provide SUNY-wide recognition in five categories: Faculty Service, Librarianship, Professional Service, Scholarship, and Creative Activities and Teaching.

North Country Recipients are:

Faculty Service:

• Dr. Janet L. Parcell, SUNY Canton
• Michael Avery, Jefferson Community College

Professional Service:

• Chelsea E. Chase, SUNY Canton
• Shane M. Ashley, SUNY Potsdam
• Dean R. Dyer, Jefferson Community College

Teaching:

• Dr. Sheila McIntyre, SUNY Potsdam
• Andrew N. Draper, Jefferson Community College

Adjunct in Teaching:

• Kelly Rusho Boyer, Jefferson Community College
