    Watertown’s City Hall Elevator shuts down during construction

    WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) — The City Hall Elevator in Watertown will be shut down from Monday, July 1, to Friday, July 19, due to construction, according to a press release from the City of Watertown.

    During construction, the elevator will not be operable. The City Hall stairs will remain accessible to all; however, if a guest needs to access services on the second and third floors and is unable to, they are asked to contact the department required and a staff member will come down to speak with them. Department Phone numbers can be found on the City Website .

    If a guest needs to see the Engineering Department or needs to pay a bill with the City Comptroller, they are asked to enter the Codes Department at 315-785-7735 and speak with staff there.

    City Hall Staff will do their best to accommodate all guests in need of services. Several meetings, such as for the City Council, will be moved to other locations. Residents are asked to view the City’s Website for any location changes.
