Water Main Break on Stone St.

City of Watertown’s Water Department has released a statement that there has been a water main break on 100 block of Stone Street that is affecting several areas in the City.

The Water Distribution Department is working to fix this as soon as possible and would like to thank residents for their patience and cooperation while this work is completed.

If you experience discolored water following the repair to the water main, run all cold-water faucets for two to three minutes, shut the water off, allow the water to settle for about 15 minutes and run the water again for two to three minutes. If the water does not run clear, repeat this process.

Do not run the hot water faucets until the cold water runs clear. If the water does not become clear after repeating this process multiple times, contact the Water Department at 315-785-7757.
