Road work alert: Work on Olmstead Drive continues

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – Work on Olmstead Drive in the City of Watertown will continue Tuesday and may cause delays again for local motorists.

The City of Watertown’s Department of Public Works crew will continue performing work on Olmstead Drive on Tuesday, July 2 starting at 8 a.m. Olmstead Drive will again be shut down from Girard Ave to State Route 12.

Public Works crews will follow standard protocol by installing temporary barricades, and signage and having on-site flagmen throughout the duration of the project. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday.

Drivers are asked to use alternate routes during construction. If in this area, motorists should exercise extreme caution when encountering work crews and work zones.

The Department of Public Works thanks residents for their patience and cooperation during this time.
