WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Watertown Rapids are getting an unscheduled mini-vacation.

For the third straight game, the Rapids had a Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League game called off thanks to Mother Nature. Watertown was slated to host the Oneonta Outlaws for a 6:30 p.m. game at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds.

Watertown Rapids rained out again on Tuesday at Glens Falls

However, the game was called due to the storms from yesterday. In an announcement from the team’s Facebook page, “the city is working hard to get the field ready for a double header tomorrow night.”

No makeup date for the Rapids and Outlaws matchup has been scheduled. Oneonta visits Watertown one more time at the end of the regular season on Sunday, July 28.

The Rapids are hoping to host the Boonville Lumberjacks in a twin bill tomorrow night at the Fairgrounds.
