    Henry's Ace Lammers wins Junior All-Around Cowboy honors in State 4-H Finals Rodeo

    FORT PIERRE — Ace Lammers of Henry earned Junior All-Around Cowboy honors and sparked a solid performance by area competitors in the South Dakota 4-H Finals Rodeo.

    The rodeo ran Aug. 16-18 at the Stanley County Fairgrounds. More than 70 area cowboys and cowgirls competed.

    Lammers won average honors in junior boys goat tying (19.77) and flag race (15.765).

    Other area cowboys and cowgirls who recorded top-10 finishes in average include:

    • Tie-down Roping — 7. Jimmy Lammers, Orient.

    • Breakaway Roping — 3. Bryn Sippel, Pierpont; 10. Brielle Jenc, Watertown.

    A number of other area cowboys and cowgirls also tallied top-10 finishes in the first or second go-rounds.

    They include Kinley Rymerson of Watertown and Hadley Edgar of Raymond, junior girls; Morgan Theisen of Clear Lake, Kylie Wittnebel of Castlewood, Sidney Johnson of Sisseton and Sage Sippel of Pierpont, senior girls.

    Krew Gaikowski of Waubay, Tilden Edgar of Rockham and Garrett Goehring of Watertown, junior boys; and Teegan Gaikowski of Waubay and Tyan Braskamp of Wentworth, senior boys.

    Aanya Fuller of Clark was the first runner-up in the Ambassador Contest.
