Watertown hired a new Ice Arena superintendent for the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena.

According to a release, Tom Bolin, the new Ice Arena superintendent, will oversee the administration, leadership and day-to-day operations of the facility, including the management of personnel, programs and overall facility maintenance.

Under the leadership of Parks and Recreation Director Dusty Rodiek, Bolin will oversee the planning, coordination and execution of ice arena activities. He will manage the budget and communicate program information to the public.

“Tom’s history of successful facility management will be a tremendous asset as we establish the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena as a premier ice facility for the region,” Rodiek said in a release.

Most recently, Bolin served as the YMCA director in Marshall, Minnesota. Bolin has more than 30 years of facility management experience and extensive leadership skills. He will officially join the City of Watertown in November.
