    A number of area high school volleyball teams pick up victories on Thursday night

    The hot streaks continued for the Great Plains Lutheran and Watertown high school volleyball teams on Thursday.

    Great Plains Lutheran improved to 11-2 by beating Waverly-South Shore 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-7) in an Eastern Coteau Conference match in Watertown. The win was the seventh in a row for the Panthers.

    At Mitchell, fifth-rated Class AA Watertown (9-4) won for the sixth time in seven matches by sweeping the Kernels 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-17) in an Eastern South Dakota Conference match.

    Great Plains Lutheran's leaders included Kaitlyn Rawerts, who went 20-for-20 serving with four aces and 11 assists and Madeline Prahl, who was 15-for-17 serving with two aces, 15 assists and three block assists. Abby Kjenstad contributed 12 kills and 15 digs, Jolie Lien 22 digs, Kaylee Carlson seven kills and Kate Holmen six kills and three block assists.

    Watertown's leaders were Emma Hendricks, 16-18 serving with three aces; Madisyn Grimsrud, 10-11 serving with 14 kills and two block assists; Natalie Pearson, 12-14 serving with 10 digs; Anna Hirtz, 10 kills and one solo and one block assist; Emery Thury, eight kills and 11 digs; Grace Corey, 31 assists and 10 digs; and Reese Munger, one solo and two block assists.

    • Northwestern 3, Waubay-Summit 0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-8) — The Wildcats won with three aces, 30 assists and three block assists from Ella Boekelheide; three aces and 10 digs from Payton Grandpre; two aces and seven digs from Tara Blachford; 19 kills and four block assists from Ashley Haven; eight kills from Anna Brumfield; and five digs from Sophia Troske.
    • Clark-Willow Lake 3, Deuel 0 (25-6, 25-8, 25-16) — The Cyclcones got nine kills and two blocks from Shay Michalski, nine kills and four blocks from Shelby Begeman, five aces from Hannah Heiman, three aces and three digs from Tehya Vig, seven digs from Kadee Frankfurth and 21 assists from Sami Brenden.

    • North Central 3, Strasburg-Zeeland, N.D. 0 (25-7, 25-10, 25-10) — The Thunder rolled behind Amree Vander Vorst's 10 kills and three aces, Camryn Whitlock's 19 assists, Lindsey Geier's three aces, Ella Batie's two solo blocks and Ashton Heyne's eight digs.
    • Ipswich 3, Langford Area 1 (25-15, 25-14, 23-25, 25-20) — Brianna Geditz (six aces and 33 digs), Jaydin Stiles (four aces), Josie Knutson (18 assists), Reaghan Bowers (11 assists), Marley Guthmiller (18 kills and 35 digs), Kaylin Onken (12 kills), Jalysssa Hutson (five kills) and Karlie Weisser and Anna Nierman (each three block assists) paced Ipswich. Paytyn Marlow made six assists, Clarissa Guy three assists and two aces, Emily Olson five kills, Alex Darling 17 digs and Eliana Darling three kills, four block assists and 15 digs for LA.

    • Hamlin 3, Webster Area 1 (18-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-13) — The Chargers rallied for the win with three aces and 37 assists from Issie Steffensen, three aces and 10 digs from Jo Steffensen, 15 kills from Addie Steffensen, seven kills from Kayde Nebel and three aces, 11 kills and 31 digs from Addie Neuendorf.
    • Deubrook Area 3, Estelline-Hendricks 1 (25-18, 25-10, 22-25, 25-17) — Zoey Molengraaf tallied 13 kills and five blocks; Kylee Johnson nine kills, two aces and 16 digs; Mataya Gouws eight kills; Matte Bauman two aces, 36 assists, five blocks and 18 digs; and Matti Ramlo 17 digs for DA. Presly Bury finished with three aces, 14 assists, nine kills and 36 digs; Cambry Bury eight assists; Elyse Wegner seven kills; Allie Duenwald six kills and 54 digs; and Brooke Johnson 43 digs for EH.

Redfield was led by Kendyl Siebrecht, 18-18 serving; Hayden Gall, 12 assists; Kinley Smith, two solo and four block assists; and Layla Hardie, 11 digs.
