    Second-rated Class AA O'Gorman records 3-0 volleyball sweep over Aberdeen Central

    SIOUX FALLS — Third-rated Class AA O'Gorman pushed its record to 8-3 with a 3-0 high school volleyball win over Aberdeen Central on Monday.

    The Knights won 25-19, 25-18 and 25-14.

    Aberdeen Central was led by Alivia Miller with five aces, nine digs and 10 assists; Kenadi Withers, eight kills; Taylin Kleffman, 18 digs; Kamdyn Borgem, eight digs; Lauryn Burckhard, four kills; and Amelia Rife, two solo blcoks.

    Other Monday Matches

    • Flandreau 3, Deuel 0 (25-5, 25-15, 25-17) — Addy Hammer recorded eight aces, Hannah Krull four kills, Aly Schepel 11 asssits and Morgan Kontz 11 digs for Flandreau. Alayna Carlson made three kills, Addison Timmons 10 digs and Ella Kerkvliet seven digs for Deuel.
    • North Central 3, Ipswich 1 (25-20, 24-26, 25-15, 25-18) — Leading the way for North Central were Amree Vander Vorst with 17 kills, six aces and 15 digs; Lindsey Geier, six kills, five aces and eight digs; Alaina Dosch, 15 digs; Ella Batie, eight kills, six digs and three solo and two block assists; Sydney Malsam, seven digs; Kaidence Bulgin, five assists; and Camryn Whitlock, 23 assists.
    • Groton Area 3, Florence-Henry 0 (25-11, 25-16, 26-15) — Groton Area won with seven aces, six kills and 13 assists from Chesney Weber, 17 assists from 10 kills from Rylee Dunker, nine kills from Taryn Traphagen, 16 digs from Jerica Locke and eight digs from Laila Roberts. Rebecca Fleming made four kills, Roean Raymer three kills and two blocks, Andie Rislow 16 digs, Ana Byer seven assits and nine digs and Ashlynn Vavruska eight assists for FH,
    • Wolsey-Wessington 3, Iroquois-Lake Preston 0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-19) —Samara Clemente's 10 kills, Tatum Luce's nine kills and Kendal Uttecht's 24 assistsand 27 digs led WW. Trinity Pirlet tallied seven assists and 12 digs, Chenoa Harris four kills, Madisen Steffensen 19 digs and Hadlee Holt six blocks for ILP.

    • Great Plains Lutheran Tournament — The Panthers (14-2) notched 2-0 sweeps over Britton-Hecla, Tiospa Zina and Milbank to win their home invitational. Jolie Lien tallied six aces and 35 digs, Kaitlyn Rawerts six aces and 30 asssists, Madeline Prahl five aces and 32 assists, Kaylee Carlson 20 kills and four block assists, Abby Kjenstad 18 kills and 17 digs, Esta Cameron 14 kills and Lauren Hansen three block assists.
    • Hitchcock-Tulare — Hitchcock-Tulare (19-0) went 5-0 to win the White Division championship in the Sanford Pentagon Tournament. Leaders included Katelyn Schroeder, 50 kills and 60 digs; Lila Johnson, 47-plus assists; Ella Johnson, 17 aces; Isabel Gilbert, one solo block and 12 block assists; and Cambree Hoekman, 41-plus digs.
    • Warner —The Monarchs went 1-3 in the Gold Division of the Sanford Pentagon Tournament. Tourney leaders were Jordyn Jensen, three aces and 47 digs; Libby Scepaniak, three aces and 50 assists; MaKenna Leidholt, 26 kills; Kyleigh Schopp, three aces and 28 kills; and Reagan Wood, 34 assists.

    • Aberdeen Central 3, Yankton 0 (25-14, 25-18, 32-20) — Alivia Miller made 24 assists and nine digs, Lauryn Burckhard 14 kills, Kamdryn Borge six kills, Kennedy Osborne three aces and 10 digs, Taylin Kleffman 15 digs and Amelia Rife two solo blocks and two block assists for the Golden Eagles (7-3).
    • Aberdeen Christian 3, James Valley Christian 0 (25-16, 25-8, 25-12) — Arianna Johnson produced four aces and seven kills, Jolie Fogarty 11 kills and 12 digs, Sophia Eichler seven kills, Sawyer Schwan 30 assists and Alexis Isakson 20 digs for AC.
    • CSDC Tournament — Miller went 3-0 to win the Central South Dakota Conference Tournament. Groton Area went 2-1 with leaders Rylee Dunker (19 kills), Chesney Weber (22 assists and six aces), Jerica Locke (11 aces and 22-plus digs) and Liz Fliehs (23 assists).
