    Police find missing vulnerable Watervliet man

    UPDATE: John Guskie was found safe on July 2 around 8:30 p.m.

    WATERVLIET, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– Police are looking for a missing, vulnerable man who was last seen on Tuesday near 16th Street and 9th Avenue in Watervliet. According to police, John Guskie, 96, of Watervliet, suffers from dementia and was last seen around 10:30 a.m.

    Police describe Guskie as a white man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 155 pounds, with white hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a green plaid button-down shirt and khakis.

    Police believe Guskie was driving a 2014 silver Toyota Corolla with a New York registration of BZX5410. Anyone with information about Guskie’s whereabouts, seeing him or his vehicle, should call 911.
