Looking to get up close and personal with the NASCAR world?

A Winning Wednesday, a racing-themed glass demonstration with the help of Watkins Glen International, will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Corning Museum of Glass.

The event was formerly known as Fueled Up Fun. Regina Wagner, CMoG Senior Manager of Guest Services and Sales, said A Winning Wednesday will be held from 4-7 p.m. at the museum.

“Watkins Glen International is a highlight of the Southern Finger Lakes Region,” Wagner said. “As the Official Attraction of Watkins Glen International, the Corning Museum of Glass is thrilled to be able to help local fans forge unbreakable memories and deeper connections with the sport and its local heritage.”

Wagner said the event gives visitors a chance to see NASCAR vehicles and the WGI pace car up close.

Kelci Sibley, a CMoG spokesperson, said visitors can watch special racing-themed Hot Glass demonstrations in the Amphitheater Hot Shop and check out glass-breaking demonstrations highlighting glass in racing.

CMoG is the Official Attraction of Watkins Glen International, officials said. It is also the Official Developer of the Champions Trophy of the ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Cup Series Major Events at Watkins Glen International. All trophies are crafted on-site from glass.

Sibley said visitors can come to the CMOG event to snap a photo with real NASCAR trophies made by the Museum's Hot Glass team, snag some giveaways from WGI, win a scavenger hunt, and submit your design for a special You Design It.

Admission is required for demonstrations, the scavenger hunt, and trophy photos. Visitors will have the chance to check out these cars in-person:
