Sunbury Man Charged with Rape will go to Trial
SUNBURY – The Daily Item reports a Northumberland County judge has ruled there is sufficient evidence for a rape case to move forward to trial. 21-year-old Anthony Ponce of Sunbury is heading to trial, charged with felony rape and sexual assault. Police say Ponce is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in November of 2023. During an interview, Ponce allegedly admitted to police that the incident occurred.
