Wrestling: DeForest's Evans, Schmidt earn second team all-conference honors

Waunakee and DeForest wrestlers recently received All-Badger Large Conference postseason honors.

Mason Spear (113), Gabe Metzler (144) and Jackson Lenzendorf (285) made the All-Badger Large Conference First Team for Waunakee.

First and second team spots were determined based on their finish at the conference wrestling tournament.

DeForest’s Tucker Schmidt (157) and Lucas Evans (138) qualified for the All-Badger Large Second Team.

Earning spots on the second team for Waunakee were Brett Farrell (106), Payton Schutz (126), Quinn Pfeiffer (150).

While not officially awarded by the conference, the girls’ first team included DeForest’s Hannah Mathews (145), while the second team included DeForest’s Abigail Harris (126) and Waunakee’s Ellie Lenzendorf (165).
