    Lake Ripley Country Club women's organization results

    From Tuesday, May 21: Warmer weather created pleasant conditions for golfers in the Lake Ripley Country Club Women’s Organization. The play of the day for the 18-hole players on Tuesday, May 21, was reporting the best of two nines. The best nine in Flight 1, also with low putts, was April Mickelson. In flight 2, Wendy Lehr had the best nine and low putts too! Lisa Nelson had a sunken approach on #8 and Denise Lind on No. 12. Congratulations to Lisa Nelson whose sunken approach also resulted in her first birdie of the year on hole No. 8. April Mickelson also had her first birdie on No. 17.

    Results of the 9-hole golfers included Jackie Weber first in Flight 1, low net, and Mary Ann Zwaska in second. Mary Ann also had lowest putts with a three-way tie for second between Karen Baumgartner, Kristina Purdy and Marti Tenzer. In Flight 2, Sue Buell won the low net honors with Jackie Slinde in a close second. Low putts was taken by Sue Adas with Carol Schneider in second. Julie West was the low net winner in Flight 3 with a second place tie between Evie Lund and Vicki O’Kane. Both Evie Lund and Vicki O’Kane had low putts in Flight 3 with Chris Gardenier in second. There were two sunken approaches, one by Sue Adas on #17 and the other by Mary Heynis on No. 12. Congratulations to Mary Heynis for her first birdie of the season reported on No. 12.

    Bridge Winners for May 21 placed as follows: 1. Ann Lucas, 2. Betty Reay, 3. Wendy Lehr, 4. Kathy Tranchita. Donna Martin and Betty Litscher had a slam.

    Euchre Winners included: 1. Carol Zimbric, 2. Pat New, 3. Jackie Slinde, 4. Karen Rozinski, and 5. Linda Mathison.

    From Saturday, May 18: The Lake Ripley Country Club Women's Organization started the golf season on Tuesday, May 14 with some cooler weather. The 18-hole golfers played a round of low net with low putts. In the first flight Betty Reay took both low net and low putts. In the second flight, Cindy Hartman had low net with Marlene Lee taking low putts. Wendy Lehr had a birdie on No. 12. The 9-hole golfers came up short on players so there were no results for this week.

    The top Bridge winners included: 1. Wendy Lehr, 2. Carole Schneider, 3. Betty Reay, and 4. Betty Litscher.

    Euchre results included: 1. Jackie Slinde and Mary Maynard, 3. Carol Zimbric, and 4. Marilyn Lueder.

    The first Wednesday night of Euchre at Lake Ripley Country Club was held Wednesday, May 15. A delicious meal of fresh fruit, baked ham, au gratin potatoes, green beans almondine and a dessert of tiramisu was enjoyed by a group of 36. Cards followed with the following winners: 1. Delores Magelofsky, 2. Jim Teske, 3. Marlene Lee, 4. Jim Heideman and Jackie Slinde, 6. Flo Simonsen. The next Wednesday Night Euchre will be Friday, June 19.

    From Sunday, May 12: Bridge is back at LRCC. The top 5 winners for April 30 included: 1. Judy Kuykendall, 2. Wendy Lehr, 3. Deb Hegstrom 4. Carole Wollin, and 5. Joyce Gehler. Results from Tuesday, May 7, included: 1. Betty Reay, 2. Jan Niebler, 3. Christine Snowffer, and 4. Lois Schmidt.

    The bridge “online season” First Half results included: 1. Betty Reay, 2. Carol Schneider, 3. Sarah Baird, and 4. Betty Litscher. The Second Half included 1. Deb Hegstrom, 2. Carole Wollin, 3. Betty Litscher, and 4. Carol Schneider.

    Euchre started their card season as well last Tuesday afternoon. The top winners included: 1. Jackie Slinde, 2. Pat New, 3. Diane Wilkinson, 4. Karen Rozinski, and 5. Beth Crouch. Results for Euchre on Tuesday, May 7 included: 1. Cindy Hartman, 2. Pat Gahan, 3. Jackie Slinde, 4. Diane Wilkinson and a tie for 5. Marilyn Lueder and Mary Maynard.

    There were no golf results for Tuesday, May 7, due to inclement weather.
