Dane County Board to hold August meeting at Schumacher Farm Park in Waunakee

WAUNAKEE, Wis. -- The Dane County Board of Supervisors will continue its tradition of holding a summer meeting away from the City-County Building.

The board's August 15 meeting will be held at Schumacher Farm Park, 5682 State Highway 19, Waunakee, at 7 p.m., rain or shine. In the past, the board has used off-site meetings to put a spotlight on work being done at county facilities and parks.

" We are very fortunate to have access to such a wide array of recreational opportunities like those at Schumacher Farm Park," County Board Chair Patrick Miles said. " I hope Dane County residents and visitors will take advantage of the beautiful scenery and the many outdoor activities provided by Dane County Parks as we enter the last full month of summer."

At 6:30 p.m. before the meeting, staff with Dane County Parks will give a presentation on the park system, including Schumacher Farm Park, as well as upcoming and current initiatives.

The meeting is open to the public, however there will not be an online option to attend. A recording of the meeting will posted online in the days following.
