(WLUK) -- Flash Flood Emergencies were issued for Manawa in Waupaca County and Appleton in Outagamie County as thunderstorms moved across the area Friday. Manawa residents were evacuated after midday heavy rains led to flash flooding there, along with other areas across the region. As of 5:30 p.m., residents have been cleared to return to their homes.

Severe flooding and flash flood warnings issued through northeast Wisconsin
(WFRV) – Heavy rain has caused several counties in northeast Wisconsin to be put under a flash flood warning. Shortly before 1:30 p.m., the National Weather Service in Green Bay issued flash flood warnings for Brown, Calumet, and Manitowoc County until 4:30 p.m. Between 1 and 3 inches of rainfall has fallen, and another 1-2 inches is forecasted for the rest of the afternoon.
