    Wausau Legion softball teams earn two more wins over Whittlesey

    WAUSAU – The Wausau Post 10 Legion softball teams rolled two more victories, defeating Whittlesey for the second-straight day.

    Wausau’s Junior team won 10-8 and the Senior team used a late rally to a 20-12 victory Wednesday at Sunnyvale Park.

    The Patriots scored in each of the five innings of the Junior game, pounding out 13 hits. Kaylen Majewski was 3-for-3 and scored twice, and Nora Hintz, Lily Godleske and Olivia O’Keefe each had two hits in the victory.

    Majewski also went the distance in the circle, striking out four.

    In the Senior game, Wausau (11-0) scored five times in both the fifth and sixth innings to break open a tight game.

    Claire Coushman had a home run and drove in five, and Rachel Harder and Molly Muschinske each had two hits and two RBI for the Patriots.

    Hintz picked up the pitching victory, striking out three.
