Work The Mobile Community Closet! Help us distribute clothing at our Mobile Community Closet visit to Spencer Kids Group on Aug. 5. Shift 1 volunteers will help unload the Mobile Closet truck, set up the shopping area, and help the first guests begin shopping. Shift 2 volunteers will help guests shop and load the truck when we are finished. Sign up for a shift at unitedwaymc.org/volunteer.

Are You A Veteran? Vet-to-Vet volunteers at Heartland Hospice help improve the quality of patients’ lives through social interaction and companionship. Organizers Needed! The GiGi’s Playhouse Outreach Committee seeks new members. The group meets virtually twice a month to work out details for connecting with schools, therapy centers, medical professionals, local businesses, and other community organizations to spread awareness. Men’s Summer Clothes Needed! United Way of Marathon County’s Community Closet provides free clothing for all ages and all occasions. New or gently-used men’s clothing (especially sizes XS, S) and shoes are needed for the summer. Donations can be dropped off at the United Way office, 705 S. 24th Ave., Suite 400B, in Wausau.

Hygiene Items Needed! The Women’s Community is in need of the following items for their pantry: quart Ziploc bags, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, pads/tampons, razors, baby wipes, laundry detergent, multipurpose cleaner. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 3220 Hilltop Ave. in Wausau. Contact Allie with any questions at [email protected] or 715- 842-5663.
