Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Wausau

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Wausau and central Wisconsin until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday with quarter-sized hail on the way and high winds.

From the National Weather Service:

• At 802 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Rib Mountain,
• or near Wausau, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD…Quarter size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Damage to vehicles is expected.

• Wausau, Weston, Rib Mountain, Mosinee, Rothschild, Schofield,

• Marathon City, Evergreen, Peplin, and Camp Phillips Scout Camp.
