WAUSAU — The North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, along with their workforce partner agencies at the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Forward Service Corporation, CW Solutions and the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce, will host a unique job fair on the 400 Block in downtown Wausau next month. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 19.

This program aims to engage downtown businesses and larger employers, focusing on both workforce development and increasing business visibility. Any local businesses that are hiring full-time, part-time or seasonal employees are invited to participate by reserving a table for $50. This fee will cover marketing and rental costs.

“In the current business climate, attracting talent can be difficult,” Lukas Lindner, Workforce Development and Advocacy Director with the Chamber. “This event in downtown Wausau’s premier public space offers a new, unique opportunity for employers and job seekers to connect.”

Participating businesses are encouraged to offer interactive activities, giveaways and on-the-spot interviews at the event. The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development will also have its mobile careers lab on hand.
