Wausau East/West tandem wins home Wausau Girls Golf Invitational

WAUSAU – Wausau East/West’s Talia Schlindwein and Anika Creiser won the two-player team competition at the Wausau Girls Golf Invitational on Thursday at Trapp River Golf Course.

The meet featured two-person teams playing nine hole of best ball and a nine-hole scramble.

Schlindwein and Creisher of Wausau East/West won the tournament with a 76, with Brielle Lenz and McKenzie Holm taking second for Marshfield with a 78. Wisconsin Rapids’ Ava Fetterer and Natalie Henslin placed third with an 83.

The remainder of the scores were not reported.

Wausau East/West will be back in action Monday at the Wisconsin Rapids Invitational at Bull’s Eye Golf Course on Monday starting at 9 a.m.
