    D.C. Everest girls cross country places seventh at Appleton West Terror Invite

    NEENAH – The D.C. Everest girls cross country team opened its 2024 season with a seventh-place finish at the 14-team Appleton West Terror Invitational at Winagamie Golf Course.

    Appleton North won the girls team title with 52 points, with Kimberly a distant second with 76. D.C. Everest ended up seventh with 188.

    D.C. Everest’s top runners were freshman Katie Merritt, who placed 20th in 21:30.3, and senior Jenna Koch, who was 31st in 22:02.2.

    Kimberly won the boys team title with 58 points and Ashwaubenon was second with 71.

    The D.C. Everest boys did not compete at the meet.
