Wausau will celebrate workers Monday with an annual Labor Day Parade and festivities.

Marchers and floats will line up at 3 p.m. on the corner of West Wausau Avenue and Third Avenue in Wausau. The parade begins at 4 p.m. with a route that travels south on Third Avenue and ends at the Labor Temple, 318 S. Third Ave., Wausau.

This year’s Grand Marshal is Yee Leng Xiong, who is a Democratic candidate for Wisconsin’s 85th Assembly District. Xiong will face off against Republican incumbent Pat Snyder, of Schofield.

The Marty Bus has been named Organization of the Year.

Awards will be presented outside the Labor Temple at the conclusion of the parade.
