JUST IN: Multiple injuries reported in Hwy. 51 crash

At least three people were injured Sunday in a crash on Hwy. 51 with a medical helicopter paged to the scene.

The multi-vehicle crash was reported just before 2 p.m. on Sept. 1. A portion of Hwy. 51 at Hwy. K in Oneida County, near Harshaw, was closed in both directions for about 90 minutes but has since reopened.

According to emergency scanner traffic, one vehicle was flipped onto its top, blocking both lanes of traffic. Few additional details have been released and there’s no word yet on the severity of the injuries involved.

All lanes reopened at about 3:35 p.m. The crash remains under investigation and no names have been released.
