    D.C. Everest boys soccer blows out Marshfield

    WESTON – The D.C. Everest boys soccer team continued its offensive burst in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, posting a dominating 8-2 win over Marshfield on Thursday night at D.C. Everest Middle School.

    Two nights after putting up six goals on Wisconsin Rapids, the Evergreens erupted for two more than that to put away second-place Marshfield.

    Hezekiah Mletzko scored four times, with Jacob Gissel adding two, and Dean Isham and Jayden Kufahl tacking on two more for D.C. Everest, which remains alone in first place in the Wisconsin Valley Conference at 5-1 and improves to 8-5 overall. Marshfield is now 6-4-3 and 3-2-1 in the conference.

    The Evergreens will play nonconference games at Rice Lake on Friday and Superior on Saturday.
