Frost advisory in effect for Wausau

With a frost advisory in effect overnight for Wausau and surrounding communities, residents should cover tender plants from the cold as temperatures drop into the upper 20s.

The National Weather Service the frost advisory from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday for portions of central and north central Wisconsin. Most areas will see temperatures dipping into the low to middle 30s, but some areas will se colder weather.

Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation and some plants could be killed if left uncovered.

Temperatures will slowly rebound this week with highs in the mid-70s by Friday.
