2024 WIAA state football playoff brackets released

The 2024 WIAA football playoff brackets were announced Saturday morning.

Level 1 matchups are set in the 224-team, seven-division field, and will be held Friday, Oct. 25, across the state.

Play will continue each weekend through Level 4 state semifinals on Friday, Nov. 15. The Division 7, 6, 5 and 4 state championship games will be played Thursday, Nov. 21, and the Division 3, 2 and 1 title games will be contested on Friday, Nov. 22, at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

In Group A of the Division 1 field, D.C. Everest (7-2), the Wisconsin Valley Conference champion, is the No. 7 seed and will play a Level 1 game at No. 2 seed Hudson (7-2) on Friday, Oct. 25.

In the same bracket, Wausau West (5-4) is the No. 8 seed and will travel to No. 1 seed Waunakee (8-1) on Oct. 25.

In Division 3, Wausau East (6-3) will play a home game at Thom Field on Oct. 25 as the No. 4 seed, hosting No. 5 Fox Valley Lutheran (5-4).

Mosinee (6-3) is the No. 3 seed in Group A of the Division 4 field and will host No. 6 Ellsworth (6-3) on Friday.
