INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — When little Reagan Cross was only a year old, she underwent brain surgery after 6-8 months of suffering 200 seizures a day. “During her workup, we discovered that she had a congenital condition called hemimegalencephaly. That’s where one half of the brain, the hemisphere, is very abnormal,” said Dr. Mark Lee, chief of […]

MLS commissioner Don Garber cools talks of expansion to Indianapolis
COLUMBUS, Ohio — MLS commissioner Don Garber dumped a bucket of cold water on Indianapolis MLS expansion discussions Wednesday night. The longtime league executive concluded his opening remarks by stating once San Diego is added in 2025, "it’s going to be the end of expansion for a period of time until we’re ready to expand again." ...
E-scooters more popular despite City’s push to promote e-bikes
Despite adding e-bikes around town to promote micro-mobility and provide another option for transportation, e-scooters still appear to be the more popular choice. Jeffrey Jackson, transportation demand manager for the City of Bloomington, said data from Bird showed that only 7 percent of trips taken in Bloomington are from their e-bikes. The City’s licensing agreement with Bird, Lime and Veo was updated last year to require that 25 percent of their fleet consist of e-bikes. Data from Lime will become available in September, but Jackson said it has been difficult to get hard data from these companies.
Heartbreaking loss still lingers as the Colts prepare for training camp
The Colts are set to begin training camp July 25th. The Colts missed the playoffs last season following a gut-wrenching defeat to the Houston Texans in the final game of the season, and it seems like that loss is still stuck in the minds of some of the players and coaches.
The fight to define Harris is on. And for now, Republicans are dominating Democrats on the airwaves
NEW YORK (AP) — Just days into her new role as the Democratic Party’s likely presidential nominee, Kamala Harris is already facing a wave of Republican-backed attack ads questioning her personality, her progressive record and what she knew about President Joe Biden’s decline. But for now, at least, Democrats have yet to engage in the summertime advertising fight. And in a sharp reversal from much of the year, Republicans are suddenly dominating the airways. Overall, Trump and his allies are outspending Harris’ team 25-to-1 on television and radio advertising — more than $68 million for Republicans compared to just $2.6 million for Democrats — in the period that began on Monday, the day after Biden stepped aside, through the end of August, according to an AP analysis of data compiled by the media tracking firm AdImpact. The stunning disparity reflects actual spending for this week and reservations for subsequent weeks, which will almost certainly change in the coming days. But for now, the numbers highlight a dangerous imbalance for Democrats at the very moment that millions of voters are re-shaping their opinions of the vice president, who has spent much of the last four years in Biden’s shadow.

The Baltimore Ravens Will Trade Mark Andrews to the Indianapolis Colts
Now, you may be asking why the Ravens would trade away their top receiver. Allow me to explain. Andrews is 28 and under contract for just the next two seasons. The Ravens currently have negative cap space projected for 2025 and need to get above the cap. While Andrews has been the go-to, he would help free up $11 million and the Ravens have a valuable backup option in Isaiah Likely who can fill the void. Especially if the Ravens take a decline this season, they need to get the draft capital to move up and get a true number one receiver in the draft.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Republican governor candidate Mike Braun on Friday said he would expand property tax relief eligibility if elected. Braun released his proposal to cut property taxes Friday morning. Chief among the plan provisions is a change to the homestead deduction. Braun’s plan would allow anyone whose home has an assessed value over $125,000 […]
