Waverly Community Center hosts ‘Cars and Coffee’ event

WAVERLY TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A car show in Lackawanna County Sunday morning drew around 100 vehicles and car enthusiasts as the Waverly Community Center hosted Cars and Coffee.

Visitors enjoyed a sip of coffee and some light refreshments while checking out all types of vehicles.

Event coordinators say it’s a great way to come out and socialize with your friends and neighbors while getting to see some classic and newer rides.

“I go out and I check them all out, the older cars, I know we’re supposed to like the Ferraris the Porsches, things like that, and they are awesome without a doubt but the older cars are where I really enjoy it, that’s really nice,” said Waverly Weis Market Assistant Store Manager John Nicolosi.

Organizers say the event continues to grow every year.

The next Cars and Coffee will be held on Sunday, August 18.
