NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Snakes, foxes, bears and tigers are all animals that happen to be featured in Taylor Swift songs. You know where else those animals are featured? The Virginia Zoo.

The Virginia Zoo is hosting a Taylor Swift-themed concert for those wanting to shake it off. The Virginia Zoo’s ZooGrooves: Zoo Eras Tour is scheduled from 5-8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13.

The night is expected to be something out of suburban legends. Attendees are encouraged to make the friendship bracelets and show off their style for the costume contest. The night will be full of music provided by Melody & Co. Entertainment.

The event includes a variety of activities such as: animal encounters, friendship-bracelet making, a themed vendor market, a costume contest, photo opportunities at each “Zoo Era,” food trucks, bounce houses and a visit to the Zoo.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Taylor Swift era. Attendees 21+ will also be able to indulge in some limited edition, specialty themed cocktails like “Lover-Berry Delight” and “Fearless-Golden Fairytale.”

Zoo Eras T-shirts are available from the Zoo Gift Shop and Kiosk while supplies last.

Tickets can be purchased online. If tickets are still available on the day of the event, gate sales will be credit card only.
