    Chesapeake deputies win in Special Olympics Virginia fundraiser

    DULLES, Va. (WAVY) — Local law enforcement represented Hampton Roads well in a fundraisers for Special Olympics Virginia at the Dulles International Airport.

    For the 15th year in a row, the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office won first place for the fastest time in pulling a FedEx airbus 12 feet.

    The annual events brought between 75-100 teams to compete and raise funds. Team Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office defended their title and took home the first place trophy after pulling the place in 5.9 seconds.

    The team also raised more than $11,500 for the Special Olympics Virginia.
